delle Rosacee originario dell'Asia Minore e del Caucaso,
ma diffuso in tutta Europa. Il legno ha durame bruno-roseo
ed alburno tendente al giallastro, peso specifico stagionato
all'aria attorno a 0.60, fibratura dritta e tessitura fine. È di
lavorazione agevole e si porta a buon pulimento. Pregiato
per mobili, lavori fini, è ora molto ricercato per
liste da pavimenti. |

 Cherry
comes from Asia Minor and from Caucasus but it is well known
all over Europe. It has rose brown heartwood and yellowish
sapwood. fts specific weight once air seasoned is 0,60. It
has a straight fibre and a tight structure. It is easy to
work and it can be smoothed without difficulties. This wood
is most definitely suitable for furniture, refined carpentry
and especially for flooring. |

Ursprungsort ist der Kaukasus aber es ist in ganz Europa
verbreitet. Sein Kernholz ist braunrosig. Das spezifische
Gewicht, nach Austrocknung in der Luft ist ca. 0,60. Die
Faser ist gerade und die Struktur ist fein. Die Bearbeitung
ist leicht und so ist auch das Schleifen. Geschätzt
für Möbel und Fußböden. |
