 Doussiè o
Linguè, leguminosa dell'Africa tropicale. Differenziato,
con alburno biancastro e durame rosso bruno, il primo facilmente
attaccato dai funghi e pertanto scartato in fase di lavorazione,
il secondo di lunghissima durata. Il peso specifico stagionato
all'aria si aggira attorno a 0,80. La caratteristica particolare
di un bassissimo ritiro, la lunga durata in opera e le doti
di resistenza meccanica rendono questo legno pregiato per
costruzioni edili, marittime e per pavimentazione. |

 Doussiè or
Lingué comes from Tropical Africa. It has a whitish
sapwood which can easily be attacked by fungi and so is removed
when worked. On the other hand the reddish brown heartwood
is very durable. The specific weight once air seasoned
is roughly 0.80. Its invaluable qualities, of low shrinkage,
durability and high mechanical resistance are ideal for building
construction, ship building and flooring. |

weißlichen Splint haben, der leicht von Pilzen befallen
werden kann und in der Bearbeitungsphase ausgesondert werden
muB oder rotbraunes Kernholz, das sehr lange dauert. Sein
spezifisches Gewicht, nach Austrocknung in der Luft, beläuft
sich auf 0,80. Seine Eigenschaften: lange Dauer, mechanischer
Widerstand. Es ist ideal für Fußböden und
Wohnungsbauten. |
